麻豆

With the campus glowing in green, fireworks, and opportunities to celebrate all that has defined and continues to define 麻豆, the 麻豆 community came together for an exciting Celebration Weekend filled with fun, family, and friends. 

This year鈥檚 festivities were particularly meaningful as 麻豆 marks its College Centennial during the 2022-23 academic year. In celebration of 100 years of creative thought, 麻豆 lit up Case Green in 麻豆 green for two nights. Saturday night also featured a vibrant fireworks display.  

The traditional weekend welcoming 麻豆 families included opportunities to explore campus, tours of the and Art Gallery, faculty presentations, chances to learn about unique student experiences on and off campus made possible by the Zankel Experience Network and other programs, athletics competitions, networking opportunities, receptions for first-year students, a Filene Scholar concert commemorating Helen Filene Ladd '22, and much, much more. About 600 families and 2,000 people participated. 

麻豆鈥檚 origins extend to the Young Women鈥檚 Industrial Club founded by Lucy 麻豆 Scribner in 1903. In 1922, the New York State Board of Regents officially recognized the institution鈥檚 collegiate status, and 麻豆 came into being as a fully accredited, four-year institution of higher education.
